Hello leaders!
Here's another way for you or someone in your D-Group to get involved in local mission. Tomorrow night is the annual meeting for one of the finest local charities in Hancock County, The Christian Clearing House. For decades, they have served the poor and needy in times of crisis with the best of integrity, care and stewardship. Please understand that there are very important matters that affect our community that this charity helps. Because of their diligence our local churches are not overburdened by issues of poverty. At the Findlay Naz, we usually direct people to this charity, when they come in off the street asking for money. Therefore, I feel that we all owe the Clearing House a debt of gratitude and support, if we are true followers of Christ. I will be attending this annual meeting, so feel free to ask later about it, or join me there for dinner. If you wish to get involved with the CC House, you or your D-group could occasionally drop off essential household or personal supplies or work a 3-hour shift in the CCH office. If you stop by, you will notice that there are several other charities represented in the Family Center building on Blanchard Avenue. The clearing House is located on the far left side of the building. The center website listing states: Christian Clearing House www.cchsupport.org (419) 422-2222 Suite 107
The Clearing House Facebook page also keeps the public aware of needs and announcements. Women's Resource Center- We also have a "Bottles for Babies" booth in the Naz foyer benefiting the WRC, due Feb 25. Their website is www.wrchancock.org. Whichever ways you or your D-Group choose to get involved in local mission honors the Lord who always calls us to mercy, justice, and compassion. The Clearing House and WRC are two of many fabulous charities in Findlay who are run by wonderful Christian people. I hope you have a great week! Check out all the news at the Naz on our Facebook page, www.facebook.com/findlaynaz. Grace & Peace, Nate

Hello LifePoint leaders! I hope your new year is going well so far.
I wanted to let you know about an opportunity to get together with your LifePoint D-group with a focus on a 8-week reading of Scripture together. This study could also be used as a ConnectPoint between just two or three people who meet together weekly. It's called the Community Bible Experience. It's 40 days of daily readings (8 weeks x 5 days). This year in February and March our church is going through the writings of the prophets. Last year we did the New Testament, you may recall. The readings can begin Monday, Feb 5 thru Friday, March 30, as a best example. There is more info at www.communitybibleexperience.com. I can pass along free digital samples if you like. There are four courses that get through the entire Bible. Books will be available in the foyer beginning January 28 for a suggested $5.00. So if you're having your LifePoint D-Group meet together soon, you can discuss this possible initiative. As always, you have access to emailing your group or marking meeting attendance and notes by using our database at ChurchTeams HERE. So check out www.communitybibleexperience.com today and pray about how you and your friends can dig into the Word together! Read Big. Read Real. Read Together. In the meantime, I am posting 10 "Basic Bible Studies" the latter part of January on our district discipleshp page at www.nwonazdisciple.com. This is a great tool for new, growing, or even unbelievers. I may link it in more locally to our context in Findlay somehow too, more about that new idea later. I'm looking forward to meeting with my LifePoint this Sunday night and Feb 4 for games and fellowship and LIFE! I hope you are too (soon). Please let me know if you have any questions or comments. Best in Christ, Nate www.findlayfirstnaz.org www.facebook.com/findlaynaz www.twitter.com/findlaynaz john316 |
